Apple’s Peek Performance: How to Watch?

Apple’s Peek Performance is scheduled for March 8, 10 a.m. PT, live from the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. For India, it will be 11:30 PM IST. The company did not specify the duration of the event, but according to previous schedules, we can expect it to last between one to two hours.

CEO Tim Cook will host the presentation as usual and broadcast on Apple’s official website YouTube channeland Apple.com and the Apple TV app. You can also watch it here via the embedded video below.

What to expect from Apple’s ‘Peek Performance’ spring event?

Multiple reliable sources have attributed the fact that the iPhone SE 3 is expected to be launched this spring. In terms of hardware, users can expect ultra-fast 5G connectivity and a powerful A15 Bionic processor. The device should look identical to the iPhone 8, featuring a 4.7-inch LED display with two top and bottom bezels — all while honoring the budget price.

A new iPad Air is expected to be shown at the event, featuring 5G support and a Center Stage camera feature that keeps things in frame during video calls. Side-mounted Touch ID and LCD screen are also expected. There have also been some rumors of a larger 14- to 15-inch iPad series, although that now appears to have subsided.

A new high-end Mac mini will also be revealed at Peek Performance. Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman and analyst Ming-Chi Koo each own confirm this, noting that it can be launched with an M2 or M1 processor. “I was told by a developer source that Apple has been testing multiple Macs with a new chip in recent weeks that includes an eight-core CPU (four efficiency cores and four high-performance cores) and 10 GPU cores,” Mark said. In his Power On newsletter.

In addition, he indicated that the company could launch a new Studio Display with a resolution of 7K, with an A13 Bionic chip inside. However, analyst Kuo points to a 27-inch external display that’s more on the “affordable” side and doesn’t feature a tiny LED light.

The screen was expected to be about half the price and smaller in size, with slightly lower contrast and brightness. It’s Apple’s first external display since ProDisplay XDR in 2019.
