Ronald Acuna Jr. challenges the Dodgers and Freddy Freeman on Instagram

Atlanta Braves player Ronald Acuna Jr. isn’t holding back on the Los Angeles Dodgers and Freddy Freeman, he’s even said so publicly.

Acuña Jr. is not expected to return. Until late April at the earliest, but he looks as confident as ever in his team’s ability to repeat as world champions.

Yes, the Braves lost Freddy Freeman to the Dodgers. And yes, the potential Dodgers lineup is looking increasingly intimidating by the day. No one took that away, which is a huge loss for Atlanta.

But giving Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos some credit for making up for Freeman’s loss as best he can. Anthopoulos brought in the likes of Kenley Jansen to bolster the bulls’ base and even traded half of his ranch system for Atlanta’s new first baseman Matt Olson.

Speaking of Olson, he’s got a long-term extension to his own contract, so he’s not going anywhere.

By the time Acuña returns, Atlanta should be well located in the NL East, at least early on.

Acuña Jr. commented. On an Instagram post, he appears to be challenging the Dodgers next season. The post, which likely featured the Dodgers lineup, was intended to promote baseball fans in Los Angeles.

Instead, he caught the attention of the new face of the Atlanta franchise.

“Nos Vemos in Octubre” means we’ll see you in October. This is a direct challenge to the so-called pre-season hype machine Dodgers.

The Braves continue to excel in the National League, and baseball as a whole, until proven otherwise. No great lineup graphics, or add freeman, That can be changed.
