Marvel and Dole are teaming up on a campaign of healthy heroes inspired by the Avengers

A team of superheroes worthy of Avengers is running between Marvel Entertainment and Dole Food with the release of “Healthy Heroes, Assemble!” Campaign. The Marvel Cinematic Universe inspires brand-new products, collectible posters, original recipes, social media contest, daily hero scholarships, and digital downloads. Marvel and Dole are looking to promote “Healthy Heroes of Mind, Must, Heart, and Home,” which culminated in Dole’s Celebrate Superheroes to award scholarships worth $1,000 to enable everyday heroes to continue their positive impact. In their homes, families, communities and the world.

Dole Healthy Heroes, the gathering! is a nine-month empowering life initiative sponsored by fresh produce pioneer Dole and inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The program targets regular heroes in four categories – Mind, Spirit, Heart and Home – during six-week recruitment campaigns that feature new recipes inspired by Marvel characters, original DOLE Banana stickers, DOLE Pineapple tags, digital downloads, in-store activations, and motivational prizes awarded to inspirational heroes at the end of each term.

Dole and Marvel worked closely together to develop the program, which draws its inspiration from the typical traits of Marvel heroes that everyone can achieve: Spider-Man is in charge; Iron Man is innovative. Ant-Man is small but mighty. The black panther is loyal. Black Widow Athletic. The Grotes are always eager to lend a helping hand.

Dole’s Celebrate Super Heroes competition is the centerpiece of the programme, which asks regular heroes to submit their hero’s story on social media – while challenging and encouraging others – for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and other prizes that could cost their efforts significantly to make a difference. The competition kicks off in late March, and more details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Another thing fans will enjoy is a collection of 20 original Dole recipes developed by Melanie Marcus, MA, RD, Dole’s director of health and nutrition communications, in honor of the Marvel characters. Hearty appetizers, side dish, salad, dessert, and smoothies enriched with fresh fruits and vegetables will be launched during September.
