The appearance of Nova MCU wouldn’t be the same without the new warriors

If you haven’t heard, Nova is about to officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Project Nova has finally been reported in development at Marvel Studios, with moon knight Writer Saber Pirzadeh on his head. There have been rumors for a long time about either Nova Movie or TV series, since Nova Corps appeared in 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy. It is not known whether Richard Ryder or teenager Sam Alexander will be involved in the project, or whether both characters will be introduced. In any case, it would be a missed chance that Nova MCU’s debut wouldn’t come alongside the superhero team that helped make it a fan-favorite name in the ’90s: New Warriors.

Created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, The New Warriors debuted in 1989 in the pages of great bull. Nova is a founding member along with Night Thrasher, Speedball, Justice/Marvel Boy, Namorita, and Firestar. The team continued to headline their ongoing series that became an instant hit with fans, as New Warriors collaborated and crossed with the X-Force, Fantastic Four, and even the Avengers. There have been a slew of variations on New Warriors over the years, but the original lineup holds a special place in fans’ hearts.

It’s great to see the Nova star in his own movie or Disney+ series, somehow newbies have to consider. Nova is the strongest member of the New Warriors, especially when he has the full strength of the Nova Force at his disposal. Fortunately, since the most famous Novas are heroes from Earth, this allows the MCU project to alternate between cosmic and terrestrial adventures. Nova can team up with Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain Marvel, while also spending time on his home planet. Parts of the story that are told on Earth could include Night Thrasher, founder of the New Warriors, or Namorita, Richard Ryder’s love interest, as guest stars or cameos for a future New Warriors project.

Just because Marvel Studios appears to be making Young Avengers, that doesn’t mean another teen superhero team like the New Warriors can’t attract fans either. Of course, Marvel Television was already hard at work on a TV series from New Warriors for Freeform. Although Nova won’t be part of the cast, it was another opportunity to introduce New Warriors to MCU fanatics. Unfortunately, New Warriors It was eventually canceled after Marvel Television merged with Marvel Studios, as the company decided to put its focus on expanding the Disney+ catalog.

Would you like to see Nova and the New Warriors together in the MCU project, or have Human Rocket on their own? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
