Nevada man arrested for kidnapping in Naomi Irion, woman still missing case

A 41-year-old man from Nevada was arrested Friday for kidnapping nearly two weeks after a woman disappeared from a Walmart parking lot.

Troy Driver, of Fallon, was arrested by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. Representatives are still searching for the victim, Naomi Irion, 18.

The sheriff’s office said in Facebook statement.

No further details were immediately available about the driver’s arrest.

Irion was last seen around 5 a.m. on March 12 in a Walmart parking lot in Fernley. Her brother, Casey Vale, 32, said surveillance video from the store showed a man in a mask and hoodie walking into the parking lot from the direction of a dirt parking lot. The man then surrounded Aerion’s car before making his way.

“He ran around the parking lot probably to make sure there were no witnesses,” Valley said. “He came from behind the car and made his way to the driver’s side of the car. Her door may have been open. He either said or did something to get her to move into the passenger seat, and then drove away in an unknown direction.”

Aerion’s car was later found in an industrial estate in Fernley. Police said her car was searched and forensic analyzed and evidence found was being tested.
