Bob Saget left from the Oscars on the anniversary

Bob Saget has been excluded from this year’s Academy Awards. The 94th Academy Awards were one of the most eventful in recent memory, so now there are several key points to talk about the show as a whole. One of these key moments that viewers talk about each year is the In Memorium tribute clips, and this year it featured the likes of many notables like William Hurt, Richard Donner, Ivan Reitman, Betty White, Sidney Poitier and more. But fans seem to have noticed how unfortunately some of the names weren’t included in the honour.

In both the in-stream tribute edition and the video later shared online, the 94th Academy Awards’ In Memorium clip does not include Bob Saget. The homage has been changed in a number of ways this year to include direct private accounts from those closest to the major names, a more festive vibe than the more solemn farewell seen in previous years, but Saget’s name appears to have slipped through the cracks amid all the changes. You can check out the In Memorium section of the 94th Academy Awards below:

Saget died on January 9 this year after being found unresponsive while staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida. According to the official statement released by the Saget family after his death, it was as a result of head trauma, “In the weeks following Bob’s death, we were overwhelmed by the incredible flood of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a source of great comfort to and we are forever grateful to him,” the family statement began. . “Now that we’ve come to the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it was only appropriate for fans to hear those conclusions from us directly. The authorities decided that Bob had died of head trauma.”

“They figured he accidentally bumped his head into something, didn’t think of anything, and went to sleep. There was no drugs or alcohol involved,” the statement continued, “As we mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought To this world, and the lessons we all have been taught: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know that you love them, and to face tough times with hugs and laughter.”
