On Sunday, Tar Heel overcame Peacock No. 15 St. Peter’s 69-49 to advance to the National Semifinals in Hubert Davis’ first season as head coach. Now, they have a match against rival Duke Blue Devils on April 2.

The Tar Heels, who knocked out an impressive 73-66 on the No. 4 UCLA Bruins, faced the Peacocks, the first team to reach the Elite Eight as the 15th seed. The Tar Heels proved too much for the Peacocks, as they advanced by 27 points in the the game.
Young striker Armando Bacote scored 20 points and scored an impressive 22 rebounds to score a double.
Tar Heels are now two wins away from lifting the National Championship inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Los Angeles. Not only do the Tar Heels face the Blue Devils for the first time ever in an NCAA tournament, but they have the opportunity to send Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski into retirement with a win.
