Breath of the Wild 2 fans have some interesting Master Sword theories

Earlier today, Nintendo officially delayed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Until the spring of 2023. This has obviously been a disappointment for many Nintendo Switch fans, but the news has been tempered somewhat by the release of new screenshots of the game. The short clip showed a convincing shot of Link holding a devastating copy of the Master Sword. Naturally, this image has led to speculation about the game, what it could mean for Zelda law in general, and its impact on the game’s narrative.

The origin of the Master Sword has been revealed in legend of zelda sword skywardIt is the oldest game in the Zelda series timeline. When Nintendo revealed that the sky above Hyrule will play a role in Breath of the Wild 2It has led to much speculation that the game’s narrative will be directly linked to the events of Sword toward the sky. The fact that Nintendo re-launched it Skyward Sword HD On Switch was considered evidence to support this claim. A number of fans believe today’s clip lends credence to this theory, and that link will have to rework the sword, working alongside Fi again. This isn’t the only theory that bounces, but it certainly sounds plausible!

The corroded and blue Master Sword pretty much confirms to me that BotW 2 will have a lot to do with the Skyward Sword. Objectively speaking, I think the two would link together. Will we also see Fi again? 👀

Skyward Sword sequel, or Skyward Sword prequel?
