The unbearable weight of talent In theaters this month, Nicolas Cage will star in his role alongside Pedro Pascal, who portrays the billionaire mega-fan Cage who hires him to come to his birthday party. In the film, Cage is auditioning for a role in David Gordon Green, who is best known for directing Halloween (2018). Today, Cage participated in a Reddit AMA He revealed that he originally had a different director on his mind to take on the role of the new movie. Cage shared that he got close to David Lynch, who directed Cage in the 1990 film, monster in the heart.
I called David [Lynch] when we were shooting Huge talent Because I was hoping he’d play the director I was auditioning for, but he was at the height of fears with COVID and didn’t want to leave the house. However, David Gordon Green’s score was perfect, and I hope David Gordon Green will do more work as a stage actor,” Cage shared.
During the AMA, Cage also talked about working with Pascal on the film.
“First of all, Pedro Pascal is a really nice guy. You couldn’t ask for a nicer, nicer person to work with. Second, he has a very unique sense of humor. It’s the kind of humor where you don’t know if he’s really joking or not making a joke. Like Commenting on the appearance of a cabbage in a cabbage field. And it made me wonder if he was a road actor and character and adds some sort of muddled dimension to Javi’s role, or if he really thought cabbage was fun. I’m still confused by this. I mean who’s joking about cabbage, except Hu? It’s not funny!”
When asked about his most challenging role, Cage added, “I’d say Nick Cage in Huge talent It was the most challenging role I had to get into the character for because I have the plugin of trying to protect a guy named Nick Cage and also make it easier for the absurd director to see what’s called Nick Cage and it was a top-level job every day.”
