There is no word from Next Super Smash Bros. The game, however, seems increasingly likely that the next installment in the award-winning and bestselling platform fighter series isn’t too far away. A new tease from Masahiro Sakurai – the series’ creator, director, and general godfather – appears to shed light on the release of his next game, presumably his next game. Super Smash Bros. the game then Super Smash Bros. Fans are not far from rekindling the hype cycle once again. Sakurai was recently awarded the Best Content Creator award at this year’s Famitu Awards. While accepting the award, Sakurai gave a brief speech in which he confirmed that he had started work on his next game, a change from his 2021 updates. Of course, Sakurai doesn’t reveal what this project is, but he asserts that it was very hard work a long way off. Sakurai is famous in the first place Super Smash Bros., so it’s hard to imagine that this isn’t the next installment in the series. Minus a short wrap in 2012 with Kid Icarus: UprisingIt’s the only series he’s worked on since 2005, and there’s no way Nintendo wants him to stop.
If it is true that Sakurai recently started working on the next stage Super Smash Bros.. The game, it tells us a lot about a possible release date. Super Smash Bros. It took nearly three years to develop. If this pattern is repeated, then the next Super Smash Bros.. The game will be released either at the end of 2024 or sometime in 2025.
The time between releases, across the past four instalments, was seven years, six years and four years. In this regard, the release in 2024 or 2025 also makes sense.
Having said that, for now, this assumes that the previous patterns are consistent. Super Smash Bros. – While the most ambitious game to date – developed faster than previous games, there is no guarantee that this particular aspect of its development will be repeated. Meanwhile, Sakurai doubted the future of the series only in December.
For now, take everything here for what it is, which is a complete guess. Although he is aware of the related history and patterns, it is still just speculation.
If the game is coming out in 2023 or 2024, don’t expect to hear it until 2023 or 2024 Super Smash Bros. It was revealed and released the same year, and there’s no reason to expect this to change by the time the next release comes out.
