According to reports, Richard Othman left BBC Pointless after 13 years to pursue a writing career.

For nearly 30 seasons and over 1,300 episodes, the 51-year-old has appeared on the show alongside co-star Alexander Armstrong.

However, according to The Sun, he will be replaced by a host of guest stars.

Richard will be able to focus on his successful writing career, which has led him to become a bestselling author as a result of this change.

Filming for the new series is set to begin in May, but it will be Alexander’s first without Richard since 2009.

Richard was always there with his laptop presenting some “useless” facts, while Alexander hosted the show and asked questions.

“The whole team will, frankly, miss the incompatible Xаnder,” Richard wrote on Twitter. Thank you to everyone who tunes in! It was a dream come true, and I’m sure the show will only get better.”

Richard is happy to focus on aimless celebs at the moment, but he will eventually get the show.

A BBC source told the audience: “The Miss and Housewives contest across the country will be affected by this news.” The rich are getting regulated in today’s show, but all good things must come to an end at some point.

“Richard loved every minute of working on the show with Xаnder, but would like to focus his entire efforts on writing it, which has been a huge success.”

“His leaving is completely voluntary, but he simply doesn’t have enough hours at home to complete everything, so he had to give something up.”

They state that he is now “more selective” regarding his TV participations, but that he will continue to host the BBC’s House of Gаmes.

His exit from the show is expected to be a “sponsorship” for the network, which will have to decide what to do in the long run.

At the moment he will be replaced by a number of close guests, but with filming starting in a few weeks, the BBC will not have much time to find suitable replacements.
