The Lakers’ handling of Frank Vogel is already detrimental to their search for coaching

The Los Angeles Lakers have parted ways with Frank Vogel, but the way he was sent off may come back to bite them.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ season has been heavily criticized and unfortunately, the brunt of that criticism has been dumped on now-former coach Frank Vogel. Although analysts said all of the blame should not fall on Vogel and that LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are partly to blame for the season’s disaster, Vogel was still fired from his position as head coach.

The shooting of Vogel had to happen. But the way the team and front office have separated it may lead to problems in the future.

In particular, it appears that the way the shooting occurred could be a hindrance in the team’s search for training to replace Vogel.

How the departure of Frank Vogel could be a problem for the Lakers

On April 11, NBA Insider Adrian Vojnarowski tweeted that Vogel had been fired as the Lakers coach.

But Vogel was not aware of his expulsion. He was told the news in his post-game interview, after the Los Angeles 146-141 win in the regular season final against the Denver Nuggets.

The media criticized the way the Lakers handled Vogel’s firing. ESPN’s Richard Jefferson called the Lakers cowards via Fox Sports.
