The second season of “Bridgerton” is the third most popular English series on Netflix

The second season of “Bridgerton” took the title of the third most popular English-language TV series on Netflix – a list calculated based on the first 28 days of shows on the streaming service – in just 17 days.

According to Netflix’s newly released Top Ten data from April 4-10, “115.75 million hours were watched on English television, and appeared in the top 10 in 91 countries, making it the most watched title for the third week in a row. The season also entered the list. Most popular at number three with 560.50 million watched hours. Shondaland now occupies three spots on the most popular list with Bridgerton (seasons 1 and 2) and Inventing Anna”.

Below are the ratings for the new “most popular” TV series from Netflix in English.

For the weekly ranking, season two “Bridgerton”, coming from showrunner Chris Van Dousen and executive producer Shonda Rhimes, easily topped all other English-language TV series once again with 115.7 million watch hours between April 4-10. In second place was the new dating series “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” (43.7 million hours) and the third was the first season of “Bridgerton” (35.8 million hours). In fourth place, the limited series “Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story” (17.7 million hours) was dropped and came in fifth place “Inventing Anna” (17.3 million hours). “Better Call Saul” audiences were catching up on season five ahead of the AMC series’ sixth season premiere this month, making it the sixth most watched English-language TV title of the week (15 million hours). The rest of the top ten were included, in order, “Is it a cake?” The first season (14.8 million hours), the first season “Super Pupz” (13.8 million hours), the fifth season “The Last Kingdom” (13 million hours) and “CoComelon” the fifth season (12.6 million hours).

On the film side, “The In Between” dethroned the hero “The Adam Project” as the most-watched English-language movie (26.8 million hours vs. 10.9 million hours).

For non-English titles, the fifth season of “Elite” appeared at number one on the list of TV series with 51.4 million hours watched, and “Furioza” was the number one movie (24 million hours).
