Angelica Film Center and Sony Pictures Classics offer ‘The Duke’ deal

Angelica Film Center and Sony Pictures Classics want you back to the cinema… with a friend.

In an effort to increase foot traffic at art cinemas, Angelika and SPC have partnered to launch Bring a Friend Back to the Cinema. And the timing of the initiative to release “The Duke”, a comedy-drama about theft, starring Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren, on April 22.

Bring a Friend to the Movies will provide one free ticket to customers who purchase a ticket directly from Angelika’s website, app, or in cinemas to watch ‘The Duke’ within the first week of its release. Select Angelica locations will also offer each “The Duke” ticket holder a special price of champagne to share with their friends in celebration of their return to the cinema. The film, which premiered at the Venice and Telluride Film Festivals, will hit theaters in New York and Los Angeles on April 22 before expanding to other cities over the following weeks.
