Young Rock highlights Roman’s reign as a kid, Tease Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns (sort of) made a surprising surprise this week Young Rock. The episode is set back in 1996 when Dwayne Johnson (played by Ole Latukevu) began training under his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson (Joseph Lee Anderson). In the middle of the episode, Johnson is seen sitting at his family home watching 1996 Royal rumble It happened alongside his parents, grandmother, The Iron Shiek, and The Wild Samoans. At one point, a young kid jumps into Ava and Seka’s lap, and Yokozuna shows him entering a rumble match. Then the kid tries to convince someone to hit him with a Samoan drop, but no one pays attention. Then he points directly to the camera and shouts, “Confess me!”

Then The Rock, telling the story from the year 2032, points out that the baby’s name is Joe, better known in the wrestling world as Roman Reigns. A graph appears suddenly to indicate all of his accomplishments, even though it’s outdated enough not to include his latest WWE Championship win at WrestleMania 38 earlier this month.

Young Reigns then tries to put Rock in trouble, saying, “Come to Dewey, let’s wrestle!” Johnson replies, “No, the world is not ready. A match of this magnitude can only happen at WrestleMania.” It was a Reigns vs. WrestleMania 39 Next year in Los Angeles.

Johnson spoke to ComicBook last November and talked about the possibility of a comeback, saying, “I don’t know if I’ll ever win the title again, considering I’m the People’s Champion, but I don’t know if it’s another tournament. I think it’s likely, as You know, there might be another match on the way. It should make sense.”

He later added, “It seems like Roman, you know, I’m obviously very close to Roman, and we talk about this all the time, and I still encourage him to keep doing what you want, and keep honing those skills.” “I think he’s doing a great job with his promotion, his management, his in-house work. Everything keeps getting better and growing. And that’s always the best part, I think, about the world of professional wrestling is that when someone gets a swipe and gives the ball a run, they either score a touchdown. with it or they don’t. But then some people not only score a goal for it but then start changing the way the game is played. And in Roman’s case, he does it slowly, and you can start reading the tea leaves. And again, I’m so proud I love everything he does. I love everything the Usos do. I love what they do. Putting it back together, we’ll see what’s next.”
