Sony developer releases new PlayStation Plus game

PlayStation Plus renews next June with two new tiers, Extra and Premium, which will cost more but give PS Plus subscribers access to more “free” games. There will be three levels in total come June. The standard tier will be PlayStation Plus Essential, which is now PlayStation Plus in terms of price and display. Then there’s PlayStation Plus Extra. For an extra $40 a year, PS Plus Extra subscribers get access to a catalog of nearly 400 PS4 and PS5 games, plus everything Essential has to offer. Finally, there’s PlayStation Plus Premium, which, for an extra $20, gives you everything the PS Plus Extra has to offer, plus access to PS3, PS2 and PS1 games and limited-time gaming experiences. All this basic information is important because this new PlayStation Plus game is only for premium and premium subscribers.

During a recent interview, Ilari Kuittine – managing director of Housemaque, which is owned by Sony as of last year – raised the inclusion of back in the aforementioned PS4 and PS5 games that will be available to Extra and Premium subscribers at launch in June. We already knew it would be included, but Kuittine had a few more words to say about including it Eurogamer.

“You know, it’s been a long time since he was released. And we know the people who enter [subscriptions] “You play a lot,” Quitten said. “There’s no hidden cost, if you like, it’s easy to get into.”

While there are no obstacles to entering the game back Coming soon for some PS Plus subscribers, there is a barrier to entry in terms of gameplay. It is a very challenging game with a steep difficulty curve that gets worse due to the dependence on chance. However, Housemarque’s managing director dares subscribers to try it out in June.

For now, it remains to be seen when and if the PS5 game will be available to standard PlayStation Plus subscribers, but if it does, it will be either during June or later. It’s unlikely to be added in May as it will only cheat Sony’s June offer for Premium and Extra subscribers. However, for now, it appears that some PlayStation Plus subscribers may cut the rope before June.
