Members Grand Theft Auto V I noticed very strange details about the US release of Rockstar Games. Rockstar’s most notable titles, namely Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, take place in fictional versions of the United States. Some games like Los Angeles Noir The Midnight Club is set in real cities, but the developer has mocked real American cities/states to create a satirical story that mocks the country’s culture and problems. Liberty City is New York City, San Andreas is California, and Vice City is somewhere in Florida, but it turns out that Florida may not exist in a geographical sense in the Rockstar universe.

Although Vice City is a fictional city, the state of Florida is located within Grand Theft Auto. Losing it from the map is definitely strange. Is it an intentional detail left out to indicate that Rockstar is going there next? It’s hard to tell, although many suspect that Vice City will be the right place Grand Theft Auto VI. It could just be a strange omission. Jun 1857 also hypothesized that Florida could be submerged due to global warming thanks to excessive commercial activity.

Rockstar realms are notorious for being separated from large land masses, and players likely won’t be able to venture outside of the boundaries to try and explore other cities or countries that are within the Rockstar universe. Although San Andreas represents California, geographically it is just a giant island. It is not clear if this is accurately reflected on the map because it is not clear where it will be located exactly. Rockstar has already confirmed that it’s working on the next Grand Theft Auto, but details about the title are scarce. Many are hoping to see the game revealed by the end of 2022, but the developer hasn’t given a specific date for anything at this time.
