Now that Deebo Samuel orders a trade outside of San Francisco, can the Kansas City chiefs contact you?
There is a loud alert to see if and when Deebo Samuel will be traded. When he made a formal request to be sent from San Francisco, multiple teams, including the Jets and Texans, were linked with speed.
What about the Kansas City chiefs? Fans love seeing Samuel pick up the balls from Patrick Mahomes. According to Josina Anderson, it doesn’t look like General Manager Brett Fitch is going to try to make that happen.
The Chiefs will not be following Deebo Samuel’s blockbuster trade
While everyone in Kansas City would like to see Samuel perform offensive plays, Anderson reports that the Chiefs are focusing more on improving the roster in the NFL draft. This makes sense, since there will be no doubt that Samuel’s price is expensive.
It’s been a strange season for the Chiefs, with matters highlighted of course by trading Tyreek Hill for the Miami Dolphins. The air assault wouldn’t look the same without Cheetah on the field for KC, but Mahomes is willing to keep things in check.
Kansas City has already signed large-scale Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling agreements to try and improve things for 2022, and the people in the city are pumped to see what these two can do with the Mahomes. No doubt the idea of Samuel landing with the Chiefs is fun, but no one should be holding their breath.
Kansas City’s focus is elsewhere. You never know, though, that a team could change their mind at the last minute. This 100 percent Samuel situation will be something to watch until the night of the NFL Draft.
