Honoring one of the greatest films ever made is a very daunting task for any actor. The stars of the new series Paramount + reflect on what “The Godfather” means to them in light of their new roles on The Show.
“I think, more than anything else, it’s a nice reminder to us actors and creative genres that even in one of the greatest films ever made, it almost fell apart,” Colin Hanks Tell diverse At its premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. “It could have collapsed at any moment. And so, it kind of gives you a little bit of wind in your sails to keep going, no matter what happens.”
“The Show” follows the very tumultuous behind-the-scenes story of the 1972 Francis Ford Coppola classic through the eyes of producer Albert S. Rudy, performed by Miles Teller. Hanks plays Barry Lapidus, a tough Gulf and Western executive who was against making The Godfather.

“I’ve got to be the guy who comes up and flips fate,” Hanks explained. “I’ve got to be the bad guy who says ‘no’ with a smile. Every time Barry Lapidus walked into a room, everyone was suddenly on edge. That’s a fun role. This is a good position to be in. So I had a blast.”

“You can drop a lot of wormholes on YouTube,” Good told reporters on the carpet. “So I spent hours and hours on it, and I found one particular interview which I thought was great because it summed up his character. He was kind of very unfamiliar with Robert Redford and all of that, and so I captured a lot of that. But he’s still not a special guy, so I have to.” I turn him to 11 in some moments. And I get a great arc because the ups and downs for him are just huge in this.”
Anthony Ippolitowho plays Al Pacino, admitted that playing the icon was “quite intimidating”.
“It’s so terrifying,” he said, “it makes you want to vomit.” diverse. “But it’s also a strange honor, and it’s one of the coolest things I’ve done as an actor. It made me feel a great weight of responsibility, but I had so much fun.”
