The Marvel Universe has two men standing up for freedom in the name of Captain America – Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. Both men bore this burden individually, but now they would share this duty Captain America: The Symbol of Truth Starring Sam Wilson and Captain America: Freedom Ranger Starring Steve Rogers. Before these two series even started, Marvel published Captain America #0 to help pave the way for the next great era of the franchise. One-shot also explains how the two protagonists decide how to share the mantle of Captain America, all while battling evil bio-ferocious Arnim Zola.

Sam and Steve unite against Zola, who launches a missile from the heart of New York City with the goal of developing humans into Zolasauruses. As they both battle Zola drones, the villain tries to appeal to their fears. For Steve Rogers, it’s about being a “too late man” and the fear of being left behind as the world and its views evolve. For Sam Wilson, he wears a red, white, and blue superhero suit while a large portion of the population wouldn’t support a black man like Captain America. Sam also has to deal with living in the shadow of the great Steve Rogers and all the comparisons that come with him.
On their own they might not have been able to defeat Arnim Zola. But together, Sam and Steve are enough to win the day. While escaping from the exploding missile, Sam proposes an awkward question regarding Captain America’s names. Are you going to be ‘The Amazing Captain America,’ or will that be me? He jokes while he’s flying by himself and Steve is out of the rocket. Next, he submits “Uncanny Captain America” thinking it suits Steve better. Another adjective thrown in is “amazing.” After riding the shield and falling off Liberty Island, the heroes agree that they both must be Captain America, without the need for attributes.
Their stories will go on Captain America: Code of Truth #1released in May, followed by Captain America: Freedom Ranger #1 in June. He will join Sam Joaquin Torres, the new hawk, while Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier supports Steve. Captain America: The Symbol of Truth #3 He sends Sam to search for Vibranium’s smugglers, which puts him in direct conflict with Doctor Doom. Joaquin, who takes on the role of Falcon, reveals a dangerous secret in his hometown. Captain America: Freedom Ranger #2 He finds Steve in Germany tracking down cryptic breadcrumbs, while Buck Barnes’ investigation takes him to Madribpur where a petitioner wonders if they are both over their heads.
