Michael B Jordan is also said to be developing the Val-Zod/Superman series for HBO Max, and JJ Abrams is producing a Superman movie written by Ta-Nehisi Coates that focuses on a black version of Clark Kent. So, Cavill is free to switch positions with Marvel Studios if he wants to. Marvel fans wanted the actor to play Captain Britain or Hercules in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and no graphic designer has shown how the actor can look like the former.
An Instagram artist from SavageComics has created a cool concept design for Cavill as Captain Britain for Marvel Studios. The design matches other Marvel Cinematic Universe costumes and looks good. The suit gives the actor a comic-like look, without the infamous mask. It also has a cool 3D shield. You can check out the art below!
It was previously reported that Cavill would return to the role of Superman in the upcoming DC Comics movie, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Previously, the actor talked about what he would like to do if he returns as Superman. While speaking with GQ Spain, Cavill delved into what his return would require.
“I was very keen to crystallize Superman’s first stages of his journey first,” Cavill says in a new interview. “we had man of steelthen we went darker with Batman vs Superman. And if he succumbs to the anti-life equation and becomes a bad Superman [in Justice League sequels]I really wanted to make sure we saw Superman and saw the true symbol of hope, the beacon of light, before we went down the path of darkness and then redemption.”
