Chapter 331 of black clover He sees Asta and Liebe sitting in the aftermath of everything that happened, and here Asta thanks Liebe for the opportunity to actually see his mother. He reveals that he was never mad about her leaving him as a child, but just finding out that she actually loved him was enough to make him happy. As fans saw in previous chapters, Licita only had to give up on Asta as a child because her ability forcibly drained mana and life force from all the organic matter around her, thus she had no other choice.

In turn, Libby thanks Asta for the opportunity to avenge her death from Lucifero, thus the two brothers now step forward to help Asta realize his dream of becoming the King of Wizards one day. Now it’s just a matter of seeing whether or not these two brothers can make it happen because this most ugliest part of their past has been officially abandoned after Lucifero’s defeat. However, there is a lot of darkness heading their way.
