This news comes straight from the Warner Bros. presentation. At CinemaCon, with Studio Head Toby Emmerich, announcing the return of Robert Pattinson, writer/director Matt Reeves, and “the whole team” Batman 2. Reeves also appeared on stage to say the following:

When Toby Emmerich says “the whole team,” he definitely means we’ll see more characters like James Gordon from Jeffrey Wright and Alfred Pennyworth from Andy Serkis. Having said that, I wonder if this also applies to Zoë Kravitz and Paul Dano’s Riddler’s Catwoman, who left the former Gotham City at the end of Batman, the latter is now locked up in Arkham. It’s also unclear what this means for Colin Farrell’s Penguin, though we at least know he’ll star in his HBO Max series.
