PlayStation Plus subscribers won’t wait long for free PS4 and PS5 games to be revealed in May 2022. Sony will reveal the May PS Plus games at 4.30pm BST on April 27. The games will be available for download less than a week later in the morning of May 3. Of course, it looks like PS4 and PS5 games may have been revealed ahead of schedule, thanks to a recent leak.
If the reports are correct, it will top the May 2022 squad in EA’s blockbuster FIFA 22 football simulation.
One of the best-selling games of the past 12 months, FIFA 22 is a free-to-play heavyweight, especially compared to some recent downloads on PS Plus.
Tribes of Midgard will reportedly join FIFA 22, which will be playable on PS4 and PS5.
“Tribes of Midgard is a co-op game with a unique blend of action, survival, and roguelite elements,” the official description reads.
“Players must defend their village from the hordes of invaders – deadly spirits and giant monsters – that threaten each night to destroy the seed of Yggdrasil, the sacred tree they are sworn to protect. Only by protecting the seed can you and your tribe stop Ragnarok – the end of the world!”
The PlayStation 4 version of Curse of the Dead Gods completes a strong May 2022 lineup.
As a reminder, the May 2022 freebies will replace the current lineup of Hood: Outlaws and Legends and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Slay the Spire.
