Jordan Elsas Explains How The Joker Influenced Heath Ledger On John Bizarro

Superman and Louis He returned on Tuesday with “Bizarros in a Bizarro World,” the episode that gave viewers insight into how Ally Allston rose to power in the Inverse World as well as how Bizarro ended up in the Superman universe. The episode also saw the origin of Jon L, Jonathan the Reversed World (or John Bizarro, if you will) as well as revealing that despite his seemingly cutest arrival on Earth in “30 Days and 30 Nights”, Jon L isn’t a hero at all. Jon El turns out to be a complete villain, allied with Ally Allston, and even someone killed furthering her agenda. Given that series star Alex Garvin, who plays Jordan Kent on the CW series, previously talked about how actor Jonathan Jordan Elsas is a huge fan of Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight, the idea that John L would be a villain is not a good idea. Big surprise, but now Elsass explains how his villainous role was inspired by Ledger.

“Sure. Honestly, that was my favorite part of the entire season,” Elsese said. Entertainment Weekly. “Going into that void has been so much fun. I mean, you really feel empowered. And that’s the thing you’re about when you’re really interested in it and you do the scene: it can drain the life out of you, or it can make you feel like a million bucks. You play John L, because he’s confident and dark, very much like the Joker, I think that’s a great similarity there. Heath plays it all the time and he’s very, very confident in any situation and he just doesn’t care.”

He continued, “But the difference is that John L at least wants to be calculated, subtle, calm and very calm, but internally he’s still young and obviously still going through these high-pressure and stressful situations. The hard part was, by playing in the fact that he’s still in Same age as the other John. He’s still a kid, you know? The world works and people’s motives because he’s still young and naive. This was a fun dynamic to play because he’s not just a complete bad guy. There’s still some innocence in him and there’s still some good in him. But he’s evil in Preparing, for sure.”

Elsass also talked about how he was initially baffled by Jon El’s completely different look, which included red leather pants.

“It’s not that I wasn’t a fan, it’s just when I first saw the costume, I don’t think I’ve actually read the script yet,” Elsass said. I was like, ‘What the hell is this?’ Once I actually read the script, he started clicking really fast. By the end of the episode, I was definitely interested in her. But it took me a while to get used to this hair and this outfit and everything. It was funky.”

Superman and Louis It airs Tuesday nights at 8PM EST/PT on The CW, before episodes of Naomi.
