After wide receiver Skyy Moore was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft, he took to Twitter to introduce himself to new quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs may have traded away from Tyreek Hill, but that made a huge addition to the wide receiver depth chart on the second night of the 2022 NFL Draft. In the second round, the Chiefs picked the wide receiver from Western Michigan Skyy Moore with the overall pick. No. 54.
After being picked by the Chiefs, Moore decided to introduce himself to new quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, on Twitter!
Introducing Skyy Moore himself to Patrick Mahomes is everything
For those wondering, yes, Mahomes replied, equally pumped for Moore to head to Kansas City.
Moore played three seasons at the Western Michigan Broncos, collecting 171 receptions for 2,482 yards and 17 touchdowns. Last season, Moore had 95 passes for 1,292 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games.
Kansas City needed to add a spacious reception room, considering that West Asia would be an air battle with Justin Herbert, Derek Carr and now Russell Wilson starting at the center in the division.
The Chiefs took up the wide receiver position in the offseason, bringing in former Pittsburgh Steelers wide JuJu Smith-Schuster and Green Bay Packers pass-catcher Marquez Valdes-Scantling. In the draft, they’re now adding Moore to the fray, and both broad and frantic are pumped in.
