The Philadelphia 76ers will have to count on James Harden to lead them as Joel Embiid is reported to be working to recover from an orbit fracture and concussion.
Unfortunately for the Philadelphia 76ers, it looks as though Joel Embiid will be out briefly after the star picked up an injury against the Toronto Raptors in Game Six of that first round of the NBA series.
According to a tweet from Shams El Shaarania, Embiid is dealing with a “right orbital fracture and a mild concussion.”
This is not good!

Charania noted that there is currently no timetable for Embiid’s return. This means that 76 players will definitely need to count on James Harden to lead them as they advance through the playoffs.
This is less than ideal for several reasons, but one of the reasons he comments is that this is the second notable injury that Embiid has to recover from now. According to Charanya, Embiid was playing despite having “a ligament tear in his right thumb”.
This is not really good.
