Adult Swim is known for pioneering in a number of different ways, with surreal series like Rick and Morty, Metallocalypse, Venture Bros., and countless others helping push the Cartoon Network programming block to new heights. While whole new episodes of Power Hunger Teen Aqua Now out of air, the series is taking the opportunity to explore a new way to tell its story, releasing new three- to five-minute episodes, and helping pave the way for another animated series in programming to prevent some beloved characters from being revisited.
What is the title of happily? Water Teen Hunger Power: Aqua Dunk Side Cut Not only does it bring back Frylock, Master Shake, and Meatwad, it is able to continue the stories of characters that have been introduced throughout the history of the series such as Mooninites, Handbanana, MC Pants, and many more eccentrics featured throughout the series. What makes all of this even more impressive is that Aqua Teen is able to tell an entire story in every three short minutes, opening up the possibility for another Adult Swim series to do the same if they don’t get the full orders of the new seasons. For sure, jumping back into the worlds of Metalocalypse and other anime shows on the block will be welcome to many fans.
One of the latest examples of the success of these shorts Power Hunger Teen Aqua A short version featuring the return of Happy Time Harry, in a short three-minute run that features a neat Meatwad harken back to the trilogy of food characters who helped build Adult Swim:
Our own Nick Valdez was able to speak with co-author Dave Willis about creating these new shorts, with the creative mind spilling the beans on these segments approach:
“It’s nice that you said we reimagined the show because, really, all we did was just rename it every year. [Aquadonk’s episodes]They focus on some of our favorite villains over the course of the run and they’re really short. It is made online. They’re all under three minutes long and they’re fun and amazing… they’re kind of a fun way to just look at it from the evil POV. ”
Luckily for fans of the weird trio, these shorts aren’t the only thing Adult Swim . fans are looking forward to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metallocalips, and Ventures Bros They all have feature films in the pipeline, set to hit HBO Max in the future. Not every series in the Adult Swim library will be able to bring together animators and voice actors to recreate their series, but if these three-minute shorts can be an option to bring back some major series, then more power to them.
