There was one big change in a major match scheduled for WrestleMania Backlash during the April 29 episode of SmackDown.
On the April 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE decided to make a big change to what had been a massive title match at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8.
The Winner Take All Tag Team Championship unification match has been changed. Uso’s and RK-Bro signed a contract, but ended up in a scuffle. Quarrel over signing a WWE contract? We know, shocking. However, Roman Reigns, the undisputed WWE Universal Champion, stepped in to help his cousins take down Randy Orton and Riddle. Then Drew McIntyre beat the odds and stared at Reigns before throwing hands.
Behind the scenes, Paul Heyman spoke with WWE official Adam Pearce and suggested changing the Winner Take All Tag Team Championship unification match to a six-man tag team match with the additions of Reigns and McIntyre. This is sure to be official. But, it is not known whether all addresses will be on-line, or whether they will be a match without an address.
Here’s the updated WrestleMania Backlash card after the April 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
