The 2022 PFL season is on and off, and the biggest star in promotion right now is making her season debut. Unbeaten gold medalist Kayla Harrison will once again enter the PFL cage to continue proving that she is the best fighter in all of Women’s MMA. Harrison will open the 2022 FA Women’s Lightweight Championship with Marina Makhnatkina.
Harrison has made the promotion her own hunting ground, but that may change this season. The PFL brought in one of the few women who could send nature’s undefeated nature to Harrison’s record, and she’s also making her PFL 3 season debut. That woman is Julia Budd, one of the greatest fighters in Bellator history. She’s now in the PFL and a clash with Harrison is looming at some point. Whether it’s in the regular season or at some point in the playoffs, one has to think that these two are the preferred bet to appear in the Finals.
Harrison isn’t the only star on the PFL 3 tag. Former WEC and UFC champion Anthony Pettis will get another chance to prove he’s left something in the tank, despite the fact that the 35-year-old has been looking down the hill for a long time. Also on the card will be Ray Cooper III and Rory MacDonald, two of the top players in the PFL’s welterweight division.
Cooper won the 2021 PFL Welterweight Championship, and MacDonald’s debut season in the PFL has been highly controversial, so both men will have a lot of eyes on them as the season progresses.
