Outlander Season 6 will not show Episode 9 but more is on the way

Season 6 of Outlander has been full of twists and turns since it hit our screens on March 6.

Recent episodes have seen Claire firmly put in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons as she is accused of killing Malva Christie.

Outlander Season 6 episode 8 ended with a dramatic series as Claire’s fate was left up in the air but agonizing, fans will have to wait to see how this story unfolds as there will be no episode 9 airing on May 8th.

The eighth episode of Season 6 of Outlander aired on STARZ on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Outlander Season 6 will not show Episode 9

Unfortunately for Outlander fans, episode 8 marked the end of Season 6 as it was also the final chapter in the current set of episodes.

The reason Outlander has not returned for Episode 9 is due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent delays in production which means the season has to be shortened.

Originally, Starz planned to have 12 episodes in season six but had to be cut back to just eight, making season six the shortest episode of Outlander in the show’s history.

However, while season six is ​​now over, Outlander fans can take some comfort in knowing that the show has already been renewed for a seventh season.

It was announced in March 2021 that Starz had renewed the series for another set of episodes, this time based on echo in the boneDiana Gabaldon’s seventh novel in Outlander.

Fans will be pleased to know that to make up for the shorter sixth installment, season seven will consist of an increased 16 seasons, making it the longest combined season of the show to date alongside the first season.
