Tonight’s episode of Mayans MC offered a welcome surprise to all Elite Wrestling fans, as tonight’s episode featured an amazing cameo from the world’s best player himself CM Punk. Punk makes his debut in the middle of tonight’s episode (the fourth episode of the season), when he drives Gilly into a neighborhood we’ve never seen on the show before only for Punk to answer the door. As you can imagine, fans were shocked to see him on their favorite show, and it didn’t take long for the reactions to start pouring in. Punk plays a character named Paul, who was serving with my generation during his time in the army. It turns out that they’re celebrating Paul’s son’s birthday right now, which is why Gilly came home, joining a number of other former members of the Gilly unit, including Paul’s wife, who had previously worked as a commanding officer.
At the barbecue, we learned a lot about my generation’s past and the suffering veterans have to overcome after returning home from service. We get a great glimpse into Gilly and Paul’s friendship and how they support each other, and while we have no way of knowing if Paul will return to the show, things are left open, until he ends up going back down the line.
