Brian May launches a special gift to the Spanish world with a new music video – WATCH | music | entertainment

Last month, Queen legend Brian May released his gold series re-release of 1998’s Another World, his second successor solo album from Back to the Light. The title track was accompanied by a brand new music video filmed in the Canary Islands, by the TED Observatory in Tenerife, where the rock star was doing his Ph.D. research in physics; In addition to the small island of El Hierro where he revisited the leaning tree that appears iconic on the album cover. Now, as a special gift to his fans in that part of the world, the 74-year-old has released a Spanish-language version of the song.

Brian first appeared in the other music video from Another World titled Otro Lugar at the release of his Greenwich Planetarium album last month, where he talks about the inspiration for this interpretation.

At night, producer Simon Lupton – who helped host the evening – said it was: “A real treat especially for Brian’s Spanish-speaking fans.”

The rock queen replied, in the mother tongue of the Canary Islands, before translating: “This is for you because the Spanish world has always been incredibly kind to me and us.”

Otro Lugar was originally released in audio format for the 1999 compilation album, Baladas 99, joining the likes of Robbie Williams and Joe Cocker.

The track is now featured on another disc, which is included in the 2CD formats and set of boxes for the “Another World” re-release; Along with a special collection of remixes, anecdotes and live tracks.

Returning to the El Hierro tree in the music videos, Brian said, “The tree is a wonderful symbol of another world to me. And we revisited it. It’s really an old tree. It’s a kind of juniper. It’s a sabina, as they call it here. But it has an unusual shape.” – It grows in a very harsh environment with constant high winds. So the only way to survive is to bend down – in a long long bend, the tree looks like a beautiful woman with her head lying in the wind. So we had a wonderful trip with these three islands and the gods were with us. I don’t know Whether someone was taking care of us because everywhere we were, we had the perfect weather for the shots, and this video has to be amazing.”

Brian added, “This has been a dream for me, to come back and visit the places that fueled my life and also led to the creation of this album Another World, in particular the pine forest that surrounds the central volcano, El Ted. And this forest is a very special place to me, for many reasons. And this is where I want to be when I leave this planet, because for me, it is the closest place to heaven.”

Another world out now.
