Erin Napier from Home Town talks about a frightening incident that happened to her family a year ago

If you’ve checked a few episodes of HGTV hometown (which started its own franchise)You’ll know that superstars Ben and Erin Napier hold many things they hold dear. This of course includes their desire to bring old/abandoned homes and things back to life and use that love to help revitalize small towns like their own, but it also includes their love for their families and two young daughters. Erin Napier has spoken candidly about a number of parenting struggles before, and now she’s opened up about a frightening incident that happened to her family just last year.

What scary time did Erin Napier’s family have a year ago?

While hometown Viewers keep watching Erin Napier and her husband, Ben, take in old homes that are usually in poor condition and show their full potential, something you won’t see often in the series is a lot of their two young daughters, Helen (4) and Mae (11 months). Home renovation experts have only shown brief glimpses of Helen on the show before, usually choosing to hide their children’s faces on the series and social media. Now, take Napier to Instagram To talk about a very scary time the family went through, starting on May 4 a year ago, he revealed:

Ben started getting messages from a lot of people in town about a 54-year-old guy from California dressed as a Star Wars storm trooper, wearing an ankle watch, and he’s come into town and he’s been saying some pretty weird things. Things like, “God sent me here to protect Laurel’s women, specifically little Helen.” He has bought a house from ours and has been living in it with nothing but a suitcase and these toys when “my 3 year old daughter comes to visit”. Ben saw red, his blood boiling. I was terrified and 9.5 months pregnant. In the next two weeks, before he was finally brought back to California, he found baby Mal and Jim walking with his nanny and they said disturbing things. Disgusting things. We all had 24 hour security officers in the house, while we slept on the job. I asked Helen who they were and why they were here, and we never told her the truth. ‘They work with us! They are friends of ours who are staying with us for a while! “
