You may have seen the broadcast show of Rich Strike winning the 148th Kentucky Derby, but check out this top view.
Rich Strike was a replacement for the 148th Kentucky Derby. She certainly got the call after the ethereal road got scratched on Friday, May 6, the day before the big race. With odds of 80-1, Rich Strike had the second biggest upset in “The Race for the Roses” history, passing the Epicenter for the win.
You may have watched the regular TV triumph angle, but didn’t get anything on this top show presented by NBC Sports. You can see how fast the horse was running along the stretch to take the late lead.

Just an incredible camera angle was perhaps the biggest surprise in recent memory. As previously mentioned, there was only one horse with longer odds of winning the Kentucky Derby, and this was Donerail all the way back in 1913.
