Godzilla & Kong fans rejoiced at the sequel to MonsterVerse

Godzilla and Kong battled each other in Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse Crossover last year, with Battle of Kaiju making it not only a sequel, but also an upcoming TV sequel. With the film’s follow-up confirmed to bring back Adam Wingard as director, and the announcement that Legion and Beauty and the Beast’s Dan Stevens will be in the title role, fans are taking the opportunity to celebrate the return of the future King of the United Kingdom. In MonsterVerse’s first crossover movie, Godzilla scores a massive victory over Kong, as the two put their differences aside in order to battle a greater threat in MechaGodzilla. While the two seem to be leaving each other amicably, their rivalry may start anew in this sequel, as well as within the upcoming Apple TV+ that will expand on MonsterVerse. With actor Russell White looking to be the lead cast in this new series, it seems the world of Legendary Pictures isn’t slowing down any time soon.

Actor Dan Stevens has definitely had some memorable roles in the past, as the actor was the star of the X-Men TV series, corpsand the monster in the live Disney movie Beauty and the beast Adaptation. With Stevens set to be the lead man for Wingard’s kaiju sequel, it wouldn’t be the first time the two have worked together, like 2014 guest He saw Wingard in the director’s chair as Stevens resurrected the annoying lead man in this horror feature.
