Impact Wrestling reveals Queen of the Mountain Knockouts Anniversary Slammiversary Championship Match

Impact Wrestling put a number of pieces in place tonight to pay-per-view at Slammiversary, including her fight for the Knockouts World Championship. Tonight Impact revealed that five people will compete for that championship in the company’s first-ever match for Queen of the Mountain, and battling for the title will be knockout champion Tasha Steelz, Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, and the most recent. Plus the roster is Mia Yim, who’s back for Impact at Under Siege.

Stills hopes to retain her championship, but she will face four former knockout champions, and all four are excited to reclaim the championship for themselves. Purrazzo recently took the title, amassing 98 days in 2020 and then 343 days with the championship from 2020 to 2021.

Meanwhile, Grace returned 182 days in early 2020, and was defeated by Purrazzo to start her first title. Green, who was wrestling under Laurel Van Ness at the time, won the knockout tournament in 2017 and lasted for 65 days. Yim, who held the title under the name Jade, won the championship in 2016 after defeating Madison Rayne and Gail Kim and will hold the championship for 87 days.

Purrazzo has had the longest stint out of the group, and she would undoubtedly love to add to the overall length of Championship Reign, as she ranks second in the Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Championship roster. The only person currently ahead of her is Taya Valkyrie, who held the title for 377 days, while Purrazzo currently sits on a total of 343 days throughout her reign.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but you can watch all of the Slammiversary action on June 19. Slammiversary takes place in Nashville, Tennessee, and will air on FITE TV.
