Kumar Rucker, the former New York Mets first pick, is set to sign with the Tri-City Valleycats of the Frontier League.
Rucker is preparing for this year’s MLB draft, hoping he can sign a team willing to take the chance with him despite some injury fears. The Mets picked Rucker in the first round last year, but failed to sign him due to concerns about his physical body.
