Pokemon fans discover the amazing Sinnoh Easter egg

A Pokemon fan has discovered an adorable Easter egg that connects two elements from the Sinnoh region together. Earlier this year, Game Freak . was released Pokemon legends: Arceus, A new Pokémon game set during the ancient past of the Sinnoh region. Not only did the game provide players with an opportunity to explore famous Sinnoh landmarks such as Mount Coronet in a whole new way, but players also interacted with the ancestors of many of the characters seen in Pokemon diamond and pearl. Two of these characters are Volo and Cogita, both of whom were ancestors of Cynthia’s modern-day hero Sinnoh. Earlier this week, Reddit user WildWes91 shared surprising details about Cynthia and her ancestors who directly linked the characters to the Lake Triad, the tiny group of legendary Pokemon that play important roles in both plots. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl And Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Both Volo and Cogita have names derived directly from words that relate to one of the three ideals that the lake trio are supposed to represent. The name Cogita is derived from the Latin word meaning “I think” while the name Volo is derived from the Latin word meaning “I want.” Their names associate them with Uxie, “object of knowledge,” and Azelf, “object of will.” While the name Cynthia is taken from a Latin word (Cynthia is a reference to the Greek goddess Artemis, who was born on Mount Synthos), her name sounds similar to the Latin word “Cynthia”, which means “I feel” and will relate it to Mesprit, “the object of emotion.”

Because the names Volo and Cogita are closely related to words that are directly related to the two Lake Trio, it is very likely that this is not a coincidence, especially since the names of Volo and Cogita are similar in other translated versions of Pokemon Legends: Arceus . Although Cynthia’s name doesn’t quite fit the naming conventions, (her Japanese name is Shirona, which means “white”) it’s possible that Game Freak realized they could make the naming convention work by getting a little creative.
