WWE NXT held the next two matches of the first round of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, the first match tonight was between Lash Legend and Tatum Paxley, and as soon as the bell rang, the bell went straight towards Paxley and ran over her. Legend then threw her into a corner but Paxley evaded only to be captured, although Paxley then dropped Legend and put him on hold. Paxley hit a shot on Legend’s legs and she covered them but Legend kicked. Paxley then went to pick up Legend and almost did, but Legend managed to hit her and kick her into the corner. Then she hit her leg with the post.
Legend then wrapped Baxley’s leg around the ropes and pulled them down and went for a cover, but Baxley was fired. Legend went to pick Paxley by the legs and then extended it to a submission, but Paxley was able to get up and bring Legend again for cover, but Legend walked out. Then Paxley tried to raise the Legend again and make it higher but ended up throwing it into the corner.
Then Paxley hit a big suplex on Legend but you can tell her knee was sore. Then she hit a supermoon and went to the elevator for the third time, but she couldn’t get Legend, Legend hit a big kick in the head to bring her down for cover, got the pin and win. The legend moves to the second round.
It was the last match of the first round between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James, and James took the first hit, with Perez hitting the field. James then hits Perez but she recovers and drops James to the ground and then continues to kick her by pulling the arm and kicking. Perez was sent into a corner and James hit her in the back and lowered her to her knee before going for cover, but Perez kicked her. James then went to apply and stuck her knee to Perez’s butt, then charmed her knees but Perez managed to slip into the cover.
James threw Perez into the corner and then tried to get Perez into the Boston Crab, but Perez got away with it. James kept kicking Perez and then went to the Boston Crab again and got it this time, Perez tried to get to the ropes but James dragged her back. Perez then responded and went into hiding but James escaped. James hit her knee in Perez’s back and then James picked her up but Perez sent her reeling to the carpet.
Perez and James exchanged punches, then Perez hit her shoulders and then punched her on the ground. Perez then knocked James down with Russian feet but James was sent off. Perez’s back was sore even though he prevented her from hitting the knockout, allowing James to hit the Sidewalk Slam and cover Perez but Perez was sent off. James went to Perez in the corner but she hit Bob Rock and James pinned, getting a 3 count. Perez moves into the second round and will face Lash Legend, while Nikita Leon will face Fallon Henley.
