While Pikachu is the undisputed face of the Pokemon series, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle aren’t far behind. The three Kanto starters have been part of the franchise from the start, and they’ve remained a fan favorite. The characters have inspired countless pieces of fan art over the years, and the Reddit poster Scrazyone1 has now depicted the Three Beginners if Venom symbiote owned them! The art does a really great job of capturing the forms of each Pokemon, while also nailing the trademark aspects of the Venom design. The result is a unique blend that works so well!

The designs have already been a hit on the Pokemon subreddit, with many fans sharing requests for other Venomized redesigns of the popular Pokemon. Readers of the comics have seen Marvel’s symbiotic bonds with a number of animals in the past, from dogs to dinosaurs. As such, it’s not hard to imagine a collaborator finding a Pokémon host to connect with. However, while Bulbasaur and Squirtle would make sense, a Fire type like Charmander would be problematic, given Venom’s weak firepower. With the symbiote possibly covering the flame of the Charmander’s tail, it can kill both the symbiote and the host. However, the design looks really cool, and that’s all that matters!
Over the past few years, Marvel has released a number of Venomized products for heroes and villains, including Funko Pops and action figures. Unfortunately, The Pokemon Company tends to shy away from collaborations with other brands, so fans shouldn’t expect to see official Venomized Pokemon products any time soon. The designs above look like they’re a perfect fit for this sort of thing, and it’s a safe bet that many Pokemon and Marvel fans wouldn’t mind owning one (or all three). For now, fans will only have to accept this amazing piece of fan art!
