His agent, in Kansas City, explained that defensive back Larius Snead was not involved in the shooting in Louisiana, on Friday afternoon.
Snead’s car was repeatedly shot at, but police reported that he was not inside at the time of the accident, fortunately.
The 25-year-old company agent wrote a statement regarding the shooting on social media:
“A random and unnecessary act of violence occurred when Mr. Snead was visiting his town. No one was injured, but gunshots damaged his vehicle. He was briefly interrogated and released without incident. There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons or persons responsible about the act. Please contact the detective department of the Minden City Police Department and give them your information.”
Chiefs: Larius Snead’s car was involved in a terrible accident
The sources said TMZ Sports that while Snead wasn’t driving, two of his friends were at the time. The shooting, at least for now, appears to have been random.
Snead later appeared at the crime scene and was questioned by the police, as is standard procedure given that the car was registered to him. The 25-year-old was not arrested, and he cooperated with the police to the fullest.
Sneed started 21 matches with the Chiefs, recording five interceptions, three sacks, and 117 combined tackles. He soon became a major contributor to Steve Spagnolo’s defense.
