Organized crime season 2 finally has a death theme

Law & Order Thursday delivered three major finals for Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Law & Order: Organized Crime, all of which delivered unforgettable moments. One of the most action-packed finals of the night even though it belongs to organized crime, it was also one of the most tragic episodes of the season, with many deaths and a heartbreaking ending. One death, in particular, will leave jaws on the ground, and we’re about to give you all the details about what happened to one main character. Spoilers are on from now on, so you’ve been warned in case you haven’t watched the episode yet.

Frank Donnelly finally discovers at the beginning of the episode that Elliot Stabler is an undercover cop, and proceeds to tell the rest of the Brotherhood. This leads to a confrontation after Donnelly Stabler comes somewhere and walks into a brother’s ambush, and while he initially turns away, Stabler is injured several times after hitting the window. It turns out he’s not dead, and as Donnelly and his men try to lie on the ground, the undead Stabler along with the rest of the organized crime unit begins to catch them one by one.

In the end, everyone except Donnelly is arrested, and Stabler goes to visit Jack’s wife Bridget at the house. She hadn’t seen him since the phone call he got about Stabler, and asked for Stabler’s help finding him. She is clearly in a daze and says she can’t live without him, and Stabler heard the baby crying in the other room, exacerbating the guilt he already feels about the situation.

Later we see him find a car that looks like Donnelly, but is actually driven by Bridget, who now knows what Stabler did. She yells at him about running Jack and then remembers that they named their son Elliot as he continues to search for Jack. Then we see Jack pull out of the car in another car and Bridget tells Elliot not to chase after him.

Stabler gets into the car and heads behind, and eventually, the chase causes Jack’s car to crash. Stabler goes to get Jack but he’s already gone, then finds him a little further in the way. Stabler asks him to come with him and Donnelly says he can’t do that. He continues to walk backwards while Stabler tries to reason with him, and they talk back and forth about the oath they took and why Stabler should bring him. Then Donnelly says he can’t, then you see he’s standing in the train tracks, and the train is on his way. Stabler tries to run and push him off the road, but the train gets to him first, and right before he hits Donnelly he says “You broke my heart.”

The train collides with Donnelly, and Stabler is still traumatized by the death of his ex-boyfriend. Later in the episode, we also see Stabler talking to his mother about what happened, feeling it was the cause of Donnelly’s death and the fact that he left behind a wife and son. It’s a tragic ending and is sure to affect Stabler and fans of the show for some time.
