The Baltimore Orioles catcher couldn’t help but indulge him as he stepped onto the field on his MLB debut.
Since he was first named overall in the 2019 MLB Entry Draft, fans have been wondering when Adley Rutschman will make his Baltimore Orioles debut. The answer was on May 21, 2022, after he learned of his call-up to the main league From his coaches and with the help of his colleagues.
Before the first game, Rutschman took the field wearing his fishing gear and shook the hand of the home plate referee. Then, in a very clear moment, Rutschman took some time to look around Oriole Park at Camden Yards and soak it all in.

What a moment for the hunter, all the while he received a warm welcome from the fans present.
On his debut with the Orioles, Rochman ran for sixth in the standings. After hitting and walking on his first two hits, Rutschman scored his first major league hit in the bottom of the seventh inning, sending the field into right field. After defensive back Brett Phillips struggled to catch the ball, Rochman took the opportunity by running to third base with a hat-trick!
Rutschman spent 19 games across Single-A, Double-A and Triple-A. Through those games, the catcher cut .309/ .427/ .515 while scoring three home runs, nine RBI points, 12 points and 21 hits.
What a night for Adee Rochman, as he made his debut for the Orioles and scored his first-ever hit for a big league club.
