James Gunn responds to pleas in another Scooby-Doo movie with a darker touch

James Gunn is best known for acting on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies as well as DC suicide squad And peace maker, but the director has a long history with famous franchises. Back in 2002, Gunn wrote the beloved live action version Scooby Doo as well as its sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. Many fans are longing for another Scooby-Doo live-action movie, preferably one that features the return of Freddy Prinze Jr. (Fred), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne), Linda Cardellini (Velma), and Matthew Lillard (Shaggy). Gunn was originally supposed to write a third movie, but it has been cancelled, and now the director doesn’t think it’ll work given how old the great Dane is. Today, the director responded to Some Please for another Scooby-Doo movie, and the conversation took a dark turn.

@hzjoetv tweeted: “James Jean should make Scooby-Doo 3 and get the gang back together one last time.” Gunn replied, “I’ve thought about it. But great Danes are about 8 years old, so I don’t know how to get over that.” @adelemurphy79 suggested: “Listen to me, what if the gang got together to wake up Scooby? No? Back in 2020, Gunn revealed the plot of his third canceled movie. “The Mystery Ink is hired by a town in Scotland and complains about their exposure to monsters but we discover throughout the film that the monsters are actually the victims and Scooby & Shaggy must come to terms with their own prejudices and narrow belief systems (yes, really!),” Jan shared.

While there are no current plans to bring the live-action gang back, some new and exciting Scooby content has dropped this week. Mindy Kaling revealed the first look at her new adult animated re-imagining Scooby-Doo, film. first look at film It came with Warner Bros. skins. TV this week, and Kaling is going with a much more personal version.
