If you’re reading this, you’ve likely already watched (and liked) Rebel Wilson’s hilarious, surprising, heart-wrenching 2022 Netflix movie, Graduation Year. If it’s not you, stop reading, try the movie, and come back. But if you have already seen the movie, wait, because we are about to hit you with a series of movies like Graduation Year Which has one, two or endless things in common with comedy about a 37-year-old girl who wakes up from a 20-year-old coma and takes care of some unfinished business in her high school.
From movies like pitch perfect A franchise that highlights Wilson’s flawless comedic timing to classic teen comedies from the ’90s perfectly epitomizing the high school experience, and just about everything in between, there’s plenty to unpack here, so let’s get this party started.
Mean Girls (2004)

Although there are no characters going back to high school as an adult (although that wouldn’t be off-brand for Amy Poehler’s character), I mean girls There are two things in common with Graduation Year. Just like Stephanie Conway in the Netflix movie, Cady becomes everything she once hated in order to be considered part of the cool kids on campus, almost losing everything in her quest for popularity.

When tasked with a better understanding of teen culture in the later years of the 20th century, Chicago Sun-Times copy editor Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore) goes undercover as a high school student. And the whole situation is spiraling out of control from there.
If you are a fan of Graduation Year and the way you dealt with an adult going back to school as a student, then the 1999 romantic comedy, He’s never been kissed worth watching. Sure, Josie Geller isn’t 37-years-old with the mentality of a high school student, but again she has a great message about the importance of being true to yourself, no matter what the audience thinks of you.

There is a constant reminder of the effect ignorant throughout Graduation YearIncluding the posters on the walls of Stephanie Conway and the stunning Alicia Silverstone veil, but it also goes a little deeper into that. Both films do a tremendous job of showing what happens when the most popular girl in school discovers that she’s no longer the coolest kid around.

It’s not hard to see the similarities between the surprisingly funny 21 Jump Street And Graduation Year, especially when you consider how well each movie addresses how major differences in high school experience (and popularity in general) have changed over the years. Having passed out during an attempted robbery, Natalie (Rebel Wilson) awakens in an alternate reality, where she is at the center of a fantastic romantic comedy, with all the trappings of the genre that this New York architect despises with all her heart.
If you are a fan of Rebel Wilson’s performance in Graduation YearYou should definitely watch the 2019 romantic comedy, Isn’t it romantic. It has all the laughs, magic and heart in the 2022 movie plus an awesome supporting cast that includes Liam Hemsworth, Adam Devine, Priyanka Chopra, and Brandon Scott Jones (who was also in Graduation Year ejaculate).

OK, Austin Powers: The International Man of Mystery Not the first movie that comes to mind when trying to find something to watch after finishing Graduation Year, but both comedies feature a main character who is no longer in tune with the world around her. And like the Netflix movie, this 1997 comedy depicting one of Mike Myers’ most memorable characters is filled with great laughs.
