Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Animated Short Film Reveals First Sight

this week, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 It will be available for digital purchase. The film will be accompanied by a large number of special features, including an animated short called “Sonic Drone Home”. The short film features Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles facing off against a Robotnik drone in Green Hills. While Sonic fans will have to wait until May 24 to check it out (or August 9 if they’re waiting for DVD or Blu-Ray), ET provided their first look at the short version. The clip is just over a minute long, but it gives fans a glimpse into the dynamic between the three characters that follow the events of the movie!

Hopefully Knuckles continues to improve his teamwork skills, because his Robotnik drone seems to be causing him a lot of trouble! Sonic fans will just have to see how it goes with the full short release tomorrow.

Of course, fans will have more of this confrontation with Knuckles in the future. Idris Elba is set to reprise his role as Echidna in an upcoming streaming series Paramount +. At this time, no details have been revealed about the series, or the characters who will appear alongside Knuckles. Knuckles has been a fan favorite since the Sega Genesis days, and there are plenty of interesting ways the show can continue to develop his character, while giving fans more of what they enjoyed from the movie.
