In total, four sets of 2 action figures will be presented, pitting one TMNT member against Street Fighter. The first two sets will be released in late fall, with Ryo playing Leonardo, and Chun Li against Michelangelo. The next two groups will feature Guile vs. Raphael and Ken Masters vs. Donatello, although no launch window has been revealed as of this writing. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the original Street Fighter The game, which was first released in 1987. Capcom has already hinted at plans to celebrate the occasion, and these character sets are part of that celebration. Each of the eight figures in the set will be six inches long, providing multiple points of articulation. While Street Fighter characters are clearly inspired by their appearance in Street Fighter IIIt appears that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games are based on the original comics by Eastman and Laird. At this time, the MSRP of the two packages has not been revealed, although it is likely that pre-orders will be placed from several retailers.

Street Fighter and TMNT debuted only a few years later, but this compilation marks the first time these characters have appeared side by side. While crossing over may seem unusual, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have actually appeared in a number of fighting games over the years, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament FightersAnd Injustice 2And Nickelodeon All Star Brawl. Given that, it’s somewhat surprising that it took this long for these characters to wrestle against each other! Perhaps this collaboration will lead to an actual in-game crossover in the future, but for now, fans of both franchises will only have to settle for action figure battles, instead.
