Anderson spoke about Donaldson’s comment, saying he had no say in it. He said Donaldson called him “Jackie” back in 2019, but said he didn’t like him at the time. This refutes Donaldson’s comments last Saturday, saying it was an “inside joke” between the two.

Anderson continued to talk about the incident in 2019, saying he told Donaldson “I’m not going to talk to you, you won’t talk to me, if that’s how you’re going to refer to me.”
He then said he moved on from the accident but said he was “not looking for any such friendship or relationship.”
Several White Sox members condemned the comments made by Donaldson, including Yasmani Grandal and Joe Kelly. Yankees star Aaron Judge spoke about Donaldson’s comments recently, saying “joke or not, I don’t think it’s the right thing to do there.”
MLB Vice President of Field Operations Michael Hill called Donaldson’s comments “disrespectful and in poor judgment,” and said they played a role in cleaning up the seats in the aforementioned Saturday game.
