The San Diego Padres will have to be patient while they wait for Fernando Tates Jr. to return to the game after breaking his wrist.
Hopes of Padres recovering Fernando Tates Jr. from his broken wrist by June do not appear to be rising.
On Tuesday, coach Bob Melvin gave an update on the star player’s latest bone scan. It doesn’t look particularly positive.
“We haven’t gotten there yet. So he doesn’t have a racket on his hands at this point, but hopefully sooner rather than later,” Melvin said. Every athlete is Dennis Lynn.
Padres looks frustratingly far from the return of Fernando Tates Jr.
Tatis Jr. has not played. Not at all this season due to a broken wrist that needed surgery during spring training.
The fact that he’s not rocking off the bat yet suggests he’s still several weeks away from returning to the squad. Returning to the multiplication form will not be a very quick process.
It should be noted that Tatis Jr. He didn’t even realize he had anything wrong with his wrist until he started swinging a racquet on his spring drill. This is how important the role of the wrist can be in this activity.
San Diego also wouldn’t want to push Tates to his defensive duties on the field and throwing either.
Tates Jr. was an All-Star last year hitting 42 home runs while hitting .282/.364/.611.
Its potential is endless. However, his injury record wasn’t exactly great. It wouldn’t be surprising if Padres chose to be very careful with his comeback this time around. It will require a great deal of patience.
